Angelika Alana

Mindfulness and Strategy Coach to Millennials

Angelika Alana (Angel) has carved out her practice based on the belief that we each have a unique wellness formula: a life where mind, emotions, body and spirituality all find harmony. Finding one's unique formula isn't an impossible journey, and it's something we can all achieve with a little exploration and dedication.

If you could give one piece of advice to every single person in the world, what would it be?
Be kind. How kind must you be to yourself, so that you can be kind to others, even if they are not kind to you?

What is your happiness hack?
Have a mental/emotional well being plan.

What are life’s simple pleasures that make you happy?
What breath work calms you down? Which friend can you trust and call on?
Having this plan handy means you don’t need to come up with plans when you’re in a negative state. You just follow your system until the emotional storm passes. Which it will. “This too shall pass” is a nice mantra to remember in those times.

Whats your biggest struggle, and what do you do to work on it?
Being a reformed Peter Perfect. Having a critical mind can be great for finding creative solutions but when not paired with compassion I can be really hard on myself sometimes (especially if I’m hormonal).
With the work I do, I have felt like l I have to have it all together all the time... we all know how that’s gonna end haha. I’ve found the truth is I’m actually of much greater service to myself and the world when I’m honest about my vulnerabilities, mistakes and challenges.
Being aware of this tendency helps me catch it earlier these days and when I find myself getting overly critical and harsh I stop and ask myself “how would I treat or speak to, a client or someone I love?”.
